Isn&#8217;t it?&#8221;, I recollect she had randomly asked me exactly twice when we were at the hospital as she was receiving treatment for her illness under close diagnosis. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\"><strong>Her<\/strong> health was showing promising recovery. And, I did reassured my <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/bijays.com.np\/musicpervs\/2019\/12\/07\/grandmum\/\" target=\"_blank\">grandmother<\/a> that we&#8217;ll both return home in no time.It had already been 5 days and that painful day, I even remember her requesting my maternal uncle (<em>her son<\/em>), and did so repeatedly, pleading him to take her home &#8212; safe and sound &#8212; just for once!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember we were all positive about her prospective well-being. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember keeping up with her diet chart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember logging in her water-intake sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember her holding my hands when she couldn&#8217;t stand and sit on her own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I very much clearly remember our very last happy day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember her final meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I remember all the struggles she embraced, fought and endured in hope,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>for hope.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And yes, she did finally leave the ICU bed, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>but at the expense of her life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>[&#8230;]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She never returned home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, I couldn&#8217;t save her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And now that, that has happened &#8212; at least once a week my brain without-a-miss references the fragments of my memories with <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/bijays.com.np\/musicpervs\/2017\/10\/27\/this-is-my-granny\/\" target=\"_blank\">her<\/a><\/strong>, and mostly not-so-pleasant ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, before sadness swallows me, <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I cling to distractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-larger-font-size\"><strong>I reckon,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-larger-font-size\"><strong>Life is not designed to be fair.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-larger-font-size\"><strong>It will never be <\/strong>fair!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, the best we can do is  &#8212; do what&#8217;s best for us <br>given all sorts of unanticipated and thick circumstances,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>far beyond our control,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>beyond us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>It is for sure that my love for my grandmother (<em>despite her physical absence<\/em>) will never get less or cease to exist  &#8230; until I do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"614\" src=\"http:\/\/bijays.com.np\/musicpervs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-from-2021-05-27-23-09-27-1024x614.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6660\" srcset=\"http:\/\/bijays.com.np\/musicpervs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-from-2021-05-27-23-09-27-1024x614.png 1024w, http:\/\/bijays.com.np\/musicpervs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-from-2021-05-27-23-09-27-300x180.png 300w, http:\/\/bijays.com.np\/musicpervs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-from-2021-05-27-23-09-27-768x461.png 768w, http:\/\/bijays.com.np\/musicpervs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/Screenshot-from-2021-05-27-23-09-27.png 1137w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption><sup>Probably my final birthday tika with her.<\/sup><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>On the same token,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope you too will love your mattered ones\u200a\u2014\u200afully, selflessly, unconditionally<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u200a\u2014\u200awhenever you\u2019ve a chance&nbsp;\u2026 whenever you can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And, please do celebrate life around you&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2014 whenever you\u2019ve a chance&nbsp;\u2026 whenever you can!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bella Ciao Eme!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#x1f33c;&#x1f338;&#x1f33c;&#x1f338;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"rt-reading-time\" style=\"display: block;\"><span class=\"rt-label rt-prefix\">Reading Time: <\/span> <span class=\"rt-time\">2<\/span> <span class=\"rt-label rt-postfix\">minutes<\/span><\/span> Memories is all we&#8217;ll ever have, don&#8217;t we? ~ Author Personal stuff! &#8220;Nothing will happen to me.
